TENTATIVE 2014 CAMPING MENU:
Friday Dinner
We welcome you with
mint lemonade, assorted wines and cheeses from Italy, France, and
California. Crackers and popcorn is also
on hand for the young (and young at heart).
Silver chafing dishes await you, filled with short ribs,
roasted potatoes, and Caesar salad with lots of croutons. There’s also a vegetarian entrĂ©e if you
prefer.
For dessert, salted caramel pudding, and smores over the
campfire.
Saturday Breakfast
We start serving at 8 and will make your eggs any way you
like (as long as you like them scrambled).
There’s also plenty of cold cereal, hot chocolate juice, fresh fruit,
and of course, strong coffee.
Saturday Lunch
Brown Bag-it. Right
after breakfast, stock up on our sandwich bar and head out to the beach. There’s plenty of bread, meat, cheese, tuna,
veggies, fruit and chips to keep you full until dinner. If you’re feeding a crowd, we’ll pack it
bulk-style for you and you can make it up fresh.
Saturday Dinner
It wouldn’t be a camping trip without more wine and
cheese. Come back at 5 and regale the
day while sipping the fermented grape.
Then, can you say HAUX-down?
Not your average beans and franks, this barbeque boasts barbequed
chicken; grilled smoked tofu, corn and chile-lime cole slaw, roasted potato
salad, and all the fixin’s (and if you’re lucky, some leftover shredded beef). For dessert there’s always s’mores, and a
guest appearance by too many cookies to count.
Sunday Breakfast
A father’s day tradition, we’ll start with fruit and cereal
(and coffee and juice), but end with beignets, fried to perfection right there
at the campsite.
