Thanks to Javier and many others who pushed for a Fall Event, we've managed to wrangle the Huddart Campsite for this Fall (2011), so you won't have to wait until 2012 to get your camp on!
Under the old saying "if it ain't broke, make it better", we're making a few changes to the trip, but we're hoping to keep the good stuff. Stay tuned for more information, but here are some highlights:
SPONSORSHIPS
Many of you asked whether you could contribute additional funds so that others could come to the event. The answer is YES! The signup sheet will have sponsorship opportunities. You can sponsor a person, a family, or some special element of the trip (like the campfire s'mores).
We'll also have "goodies" that you can purchase as fundraising opportunities, like the official Rosa Parks Camp Cookbook.
EXPANDED ATTENDANCE
Some of you thought it would be nice to have more people in attendance. Welp, we can accommodate 100 this Fall!
SNACKS
Can't wait until dinner? We'll have snacks out (like popcorn, fruit, and chips) throughout the day just in case your munchkin's require munchin'.
VOLUNTEERS
Want to sign up for a job? We'd love your help. This trip, we'll have pre-event volunteers as well as a duty roster for those that want to help "just-a-little".
MORE PLAY FUN
We're hoping to get an activity coach for those people who just want to stay around camp and have fun.
