LOOKING FOR THE F.A.Q. CLICK HERE and check out the basics.
We're 1/2 full, so if you're planning to camp with your friends and family, get those ressies in! WE'RE GOING TO BE SOLD OUT FOR SURE.
As we get close to the big camping day, here's some things you should know:
(1) It's COLD. June is not typically warm in the Woodside area of California and even if we get lucky, the sun also sets. Make sure you are planning for cold nights. While there will be a campfire at the group eating area, your sleeping quarters will not have a place for you to make a fire. Remember to bring lots of warm clothing to layer.
(2) Plan to share. Group camping means about 10 people per site. The sites are quite large and because you will not need to set up a cooking station, you will have plenty of room. If you're planning to come with multiple families, it may behoove you to coordinate times to arrive.
(3) Bring recreation equipment. If you (or your kids) are not hikers, there's plenty to do at the park: Volleyball courts and lots of flat area are available for you to play frisbee, ball, or other games. Since your Saturday lunch will be a bag lunch that you can take with you, there's no need to be back at the campsite midday. If you'd like to take a drive to Pescadero (about an hour), or the Goat Farm (45 minutes), you can also leave the campsite. There is also an equestrian facility where you can rent horses, but you must call ahead of time.
